Hauz Khas Village

             

            Hauz Khas Village located in South Delhi is a heritage park and urban village which hosts a leafy Deer park and historic monuments built around a water tank. With it's beautiful atmosphere and picturesque lush garden, Hauz Khas makes a great hangout place for Family as well as Friends.

Evening walks by Serene waters and Greenery on either sides.

When you reach Hauz Khas complex, to the right is an entry gate for magnificent animal park named - Deer park. Stroll around this peaceful park for deer sightings, beautiful elegant peacocks, playful rabbits and numerous species of birds chirping around. The park is a lovely infusion of wild life and humans. It is a treat for nature lovers. People visit this place for its scenic wildlife views and enjoy some quality time with animals and their loved ones.

There is no entry fee to this park. You can enjoy these mesmerizing scenic views right from early morning to late evening free of cost.

Other things to look around Hauz Khas Village are the historic tomb, Art Gallery and pavilions (Hauz Khas kila) traced back to 13th century. This is a perfect blend of modernity and history of Delhi.

When you are with your loved ones, time flies by. After sun sets into horizon and light fades into the sky Hauz Khas Kila comes to an end but your end won't end here. This complex hosts a number of eateries, cafes, pubs and street food where you can relish your taste buds. Nightlife of Delhi is best known from Hauz Khas village. Restaurants and pubs here are open till 2 a.m. with few providing live music and happy hours along pleasant ambiance and need not to mention but great Food and booze :)

Location: Hauz Khas Village, South Delhi, India.

Nearest Station: Green Park Metro Station, Delhi. From there its approx 2km ride by a Cab or an Auto (costs around ₹30) to reach to Hauz Khas complex.

Restaurants at Hauz Khas: There are number of good ones inside Hauz Khas Complex but 'Hauz Khas Social' is my favorite resto-pub which you must visit. Also there is 'Naivedyam' a south indian Cusine resto famous for Thali. You can also try 'Farzi café', 'The Town House Café' and 'My bar'.
